April!!

We finally made it to April! Baby is officially due on the 12th, but I'm ready for her to come anytime. I'm off work, bathrooms are done, car seat installed, room ready, house clean, hospital bag packed. We're ready whenever she is.

Started my leave from work on Monday because the baby gave me carpal tunnel - that's how I'm going to refer to it from now on. And now as I type my fingers are going numb. It's not been fun, but at least I don't have to work through the pain anymore. It's been strange having so much free time, but the naps have been really really nice.

Thought it would be fun to revisit some questions I answered in week 28.


How far along? In the 40th week



Stretch marks? Oh yes, they've arrived. And surprisingly I don't care as much as I thought I would. I'm sure it'll be different once my stomach deflates and they stay. But for now I'm not stressing about it.

Sleep: Usually awake for a couple hours during the night, but I'm used it now.

Best moment of the week: Right now, husband is cooking for me even though I've been home all day. Pretty spoiled.



Movement: Yes, she rolls around all the time, but more so in the evening and it hurts. I keep telling her there is no more room for somersaults but she doesn't listen.

Food cravings: Nope not really

Gender: Still a girl…hopefully. We have a dresser full of girly clothes.

Labor Signs: A little, but nothing to get too excited about.

Belly Button in or out? totally inside out

What I miss: Being about to walk without feeling like there is a head in between my legs. And a nice cold beer:)

What I'm looking forward to: Holding this baby girl in my arms

Milestones: Official due date is less than a week away.

Last weekend we finished getting the baby room ready and our cat Annie kept getting into everything, she's so nosey!!

Week 38

Hands are really sore and numb from carpal tunnel, guess it's common in pregnancy because of all the extra fluid in my body. So not much typing from me today. More to come soon...should have some final bathroom photos by this weekend!!

Baby room

Just wanted to thank those of you that were able to make it to my baby shower this past weekend. It was fun to see so many special faces. Also wanted to thank my sisters for hosting such a lovely event.

Thank you for all the wonderful gifts, because of you we'll have the best dressed baby in town!

It took me a couple days but the baby room is almost done. Washed 5 loads of baby clothes and blankets last night...that's right 5 loads!! Now that everything is folded and put away I'm feeling better prepared for this baby's arrival.

Week 36

Week 35

Everything I've read about week 35 has mentioned something along the lines of "the baby doesn't have much room" that couldn't be more true. I know our baby girl has a lot of growing to do in this last month but I feel maxed out. Lets just hope it goes by fairly quickly and she's not too comfy either, because I might explode if she's really late. The thought of being pregnant at the end of April is making my head spin.

Thank you Aunt Tonia & Uncle Kelly for coming last weekend and helping us work on our bathroom remodel. You have no idea how nice it is to control the shower with one lever rather than three! Now we have to work on the walls in both bathrooms - and install new floor in the master, then we're done, I cant wait.
