30 B4 30 revisited

With the start of the new year I thought it would be fun to revisit my 30 before 30 list. Since starting this list in September I/we (let’s be honest I couldn’t have done most of them without Ben’s help) have crossed off quite a few items.

#3 New rug for front living room

Our front living room is finally looking ‘put together’ with the addition of a new rug, chairs and bookshelf.

#7 Curtains for bedroom window

Also our bedroom got some much needed curtains and a new matching rug. Unfortunately we didn’t realize until it was all rolled out how uncomfortable it is to stand on barefooted, and Ziggy won’t even sleep on it. So at night we pull his bed out from under ours over the rug, otherwise he just paces around all night looking for a place to sleep close by. The things we do for these animals!

#29 Buy a new car

And we bought a new car! 2010 Jeep Liberty just before Christmas. I dont have photo handy of the new car so here's one of Ziggy instead.

Week 27

New belly photos...

It's getting harder and harder to move around, sometimes I cant believe we still have three months-ish to go.

Baby girl is still kicking and rolling around like crazy, she really likes to kick between 2 and 4am. Just enough to wake me up then I cant get back to sleep. Everyone says it's just practice for when the baby comes, but really it would be nice sleep through the night while I still can.

Finally broke down and bought a body pillow. Didn't think I would need one but it's so nice to have. And much easier than strategically placing loose pillows everywhere.

On Saturday Ben and I attempted to put up the wall decal in the baby room. We got the tree and some of the large leaves/flowers up before it all started falling down. I took this photo to share before it turned into one sticky mess. So sad, our best guess is that our walls are too textured for the decal to stick.

But I did successfully put some pretty shelving paper in all the drawers. Although it did take a while since it's getting harder and harder to move around.

It's a GIRL!!

We had our third ultrasound on December 23rd and this time the doctor was able to show/tell us it's a GIRL. Here are a few of the photos...

Week 25

Wow week 25! We're quickly finishing up the 2nd trimester, these last couple months have gone by so fast. The baby is moving around a lot more and I can tell the difference between rolls and kicks (surprise kicks aren't as much fun).

Here are some belly shots in the new baby room!! Ben has been working hard the last couple weeks, walls are now textured and painted. Some decorations are scattered around and we're going to order furniture this week. Hopefully by the end of January it'll start looking like a real nursery.

Ultrasound update

Good news, our next ultrasound date has been set for December 23rd, lets hope our little muchkin shows off this time.

Ben has been working on the baby room these past two weekends. The walls are now textured and primed. Next step, paint the ceiling (just white) then we'll be ready to paint a fun color and start decorating.

We've also decided to go forward with the Owl theme, that way it works for a boy or girl and we dont have to wait to paint and decorating. Here are the prints I'm going to order for the room. Colors will be based off of these and match the rest of the house nicely.

 

Week 22

This week we have a spaghetti squash baby. I don't know about you but that sounds really big to me. He/She has been rolling around and kicking like crazy, hopefully others will be able to feel it soon.
